The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is organizing book launch event on 11 April 2015. The book, written Mr David Miller is entitled Duty Bound, A Singapore War Hero Remembered.

2          The book captures the experiences of Mr Halford Boudewyn, young Police Inspector who became a wartime resistance fighter against the Japanese during World War II. He first worked for the British Indian Army, smuggling critical and valuable documents out from the camp ran by the Indian National Army (backed by the Japanese). After that, Mr Boudewyn became a double agent while working for the Japanese and Allied forces. After the war, Mr Boudewyn was awarded the Colonial Police Medal for meritorious service, conferred by Governor Sir Franklin Gimson in 1948 and resumed police work till his retirement as a DSP in the 1970s. For putting the interests of the nation and the people above his life, Mr Boudewyn has been regarded as a war hero alongside Elizabeth Choy and Lim Bo Seng.
