The Police have arrested five men between 31 and 38 years old, on 27 May 2015 for a series of cheating cases at Sim Lim Square.
2 In 2014, the Police had received several reports against Mobile Air Pte Ltd for dishonest sales practices whereby mobile phone customers were coerced into buying handphones and in-house warranties at inflated prices. These victims ended up paying for the handphones at much higher prices or had to pay fees to cancel the deal.
3 Upon the receipt of the reports, a team of officers from Central Police Division carried out extensive follow-up investigations and interviews with a number of witnesses and victims. After carefully studying the evidence and in consultation with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the five accused persons are scheduled to be charged in court on 29 May 2015.
