In a coordinated operation that took place between 26 May 2015 and 27 May 2015, Police arrested 48 persons who were wanted for various criminal offences.
2. During the operation, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the six Police Land Divisions conducted multiple raids at various locations islandwide. A total of 48 wanted persons, comprising 43 men and 5 women, were arrested for various offences including cheating, criminal breach of trust, theft, illegal assembly, as well as drug-related offences.
3. Investigations against those arrested are ongoing.
4. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Investigations & Intelligence) concurrent Director CID Tan Chye Hee commended the officers for their teamwork and perseverance which resulted in these arrests. He said, “Police will continue with our relentless efforts to hunt down criminals who remain on the run and will spare no efforts to bring them to justice.”
