Police have arrested a 33-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in several theft cases.
2 In May 2015, Police received several reports of theft cases in Clementi. With the aid of footages from Police cameras (POLCAM), officers from the Crime Strike Force (CSF) of Clementi Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) conducted extensive ground enquiries and arrested the female suspect at Clementi Central on 22 June 2015 at about 4.30 pm. Following the arrest, a mobile phone and some clothing were seized as case exhibits. The suspect is believed to be involved in at least three other similar cases.
3 She will be charged in Court on 24 June 2015 for the offence of Theft, which is punishable under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries a maximum jail term of three years’ imprisonment, or fine, or both.
