Police have arrested three suspects aged between 17 and 20 for their suspected involvement in several cases of theft of motorcycle.
Between 11 to 12 August 2015, two motorcycles were reported stolen in Neil Road and Kreta Ayer Road. Officers from Central Police Division conducted extensive investigations and ground enquiries. With the aid of CCTV the identities of the three suspects were established and they were subsequently arrested on 24 August 2015. The stolen motorcycles were also recovered.
Two of the suspects will be charged in Court on 25 August 2015 for an offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle with Common Intention under Section 379A read with Section 34 of the Penal Code and the 3rd suspect will be charged for an offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle. If convicted, each face a maximum jail term of 7 years and shall also be liable to a fine.
