Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for suspected involvement in several cases of cheating.
In August 2015, Police received reports of suspected cheating that had taken place at Lunar Seventh Month dinner auctions. It is believed that the suspect would made high successful bids for items during the auctions before disappearing with the items. The estimated amount involved are about more than $20,000.
Following the report, officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 24 August 2015.
The suspect will be charged in the State Courts on 26 August 2015 for Cheating, which is punishable with imprisonment for up to 10 years and fine.
