A total of 107 persons were arrested in Geylang for various offences during a week-long multi-agency operation which ended early this morning.
The operation was led by Bedok Division and involved enforcement officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau, Singapore Customs, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and Health Sciences Authority. The operation covered entertainment outlets, hotels and back lanes in Geylang.
The suspects, comprising 46 males and 61 females, aged between 17 and 56, were arrested for their suspected involvement in various offences such as vice, public gaming, drug offences, peddling of contraband cigarettes, immigration offences, and selling of illegal sexual enhancement products.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
