Two Men To Be Charged For Theft Of Casino Chips From Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Casino

Police have arrested two male Chinese Nationals, aged 36 and 40, for their suspected involvement in a case of theft of casino chips from the MBS casino.

On 24 October 2015, Police were alerted to a case of theft at the MBS casino. Officers from the Casino Crime Investigation Branch (CCIB) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) responded to the case and placed the suspects under arrest. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two suspects were believed to have committed theft of casino chips worth close to $60,000.

The two suspects will be charged in Court on 26 October 2015 for the offence of Theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, they may be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or fine or to both.
