Police have arrested two men, aged 40 and 41 who are believed to be involved in two separate theft cases.

In the first case, Police received a report on 11 November 2015 that paracetamol tablets worth $160/- were stolen from a pharmacy located along Bukit Batok Street 11. Through follow up investigations, officers from Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police Centre established the identity of the 41 year old suspect and arrested him on 13 November 2015 in the vicinity of Bukit Batok West Avenue 8.

In the second case, a 40 year old man was detained by a loss prevention officer at a supermarket. He was subsequently arrested by Police on 12 November 2015 for his suspected involvement in a case of theft in dwelling. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in at least two other cases where milk powder was stolen from other supermarkets.

The 40-year-old suspect for the second case will be charged in court on 14 November 2015 for an offence of theft in dwelling, under Section 380 of the Penal Code which carries a maximum punishment of 7 years imprisonment and also liable to a fine.
