The Traffic Police (TP) and Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC) held the fourth and final Road Safety Concert for the Golden Age at the Home Team Academy’s Harmony Hall on Sunday, 22 November 2015.

Mr Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development was the Guest-of-Honour (GOH) to grace the event attended by about 1,000 senior citizens.

The Road Safety Concert for the Golden Age was first launched during the Singapore Road Safety Month in May 2013. The first three concerts were held in the northern, southern and eastern parts of Singapore. Through entertaining skits, songs and dances by local television and radio artistes like Marcus Chin, Yati and Poobalan, these concerts aimed to raise senior citizens awareness of the dangers of the roads, teach them road safety tips and remind them of the available road facilities that they could use to enhance their safety.

This fourth and final Road Safety Concert for the Golden Age also featured performances specially tailored for the senior citizens, with road safety messages in various languages weaved into them. Through entertaining performances, they learned various road safety habits and tips, as well as how to be safe on the roads.
