The Police have arrested a 63-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a series of theft of bicycles.
Between November and December 2015, Police received several reports of bicycle theft at Jurong West, Boon Lay and Taman Jurong public housing estates. Through extensive ground enquiries and images of Police Cameras (POLCAM), officers from Jurong Division arrested the suspect at Blk 641 Jurong West Street 61 on 2 December 2015.
The suspect will be charged in the State Court on 4 December 2015 under the offence of Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspect would face imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, a fine, or both.
