The Police have arrested 3 men, aged between 35 and 39, for their suspected involvement in a case of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt with Common Intention.
On 16 December 2015, at about 11.43pm, the Police received a call informing that a 60-year-old male taxi driver had been assaulted by several male subjects at a taxi stand located along Holland Village. Following the report lodged, officers from Clementi Division conducted extensive enquiries and subsequently arrested the suspects on 29 December 2015.
The suspects will be charged in Court on 31 December 2015 for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt with Common Intention under Section 325 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
Any person convicted for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt shall be punished for a term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine or caning.
