Arrest Of Four Men For Voluntarily Causing Hurt By Dangerous Means

The Police have arrested four men aged between 19 to 23 for a case of Voluntarily Causing Hurt by Dangerous Means.

On 10 January 2016, at about 6.19am, the Police was informed that a man was injured after being attacked by several men at a bus stop along Telok Blangah Road.

Following the report, officers from Clementi Division conducted extensive enquiries and subsequently arrested four suspects on the 11 January and 12 January 2016 respectively.

Three of the suspects will be charged in Court on 13 January 2016 with the offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt by Dangerous Means with Common Intention under Section 324 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. Investigations against the remaining 20-year-old suspect is ongoing.

Any person convicted for the offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt with Dangerous Means shall be punished for a term which may extend to 7 years, and shall also be liable to fine or caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
