The Traffic Police have arrested two men, aged 19 and 22, for suspected dangerous driving along Seletar Link towards Seletar North Link.

The two men were found to have driven their cars at 145km/h and 155km/h respectively during a Traffic Police Operation conducted in July last year. This exceeded the road speed limit of 60 km/h and both drivers were arrested after being pulled over by officers.

The two men will be charged in Court on 10 February 2016 with the offence of Dangerous Driving under Section 64(1) of the Road Traffic Act, Chapter 276. Motorists caught for dangerous driving, upon conviction, shall be liable to a fine not exceeding $3,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both and in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both.

Traffic Police takes a serious view on such dangerous road behaviour and has been conducting regular enforcement operations to safeguard road users. Members of public can visit http://driving-in-singapore.spf.gov.sg/ to obtain more information on the hotspot locations for dangerous driving.
