The Police Coast Guard (PCG) arrested two men for unlawful entry into Singapore on 9 March 2016.

On 9 March 2016 at about 3.45am, PCG detected two floating objects believed to be swimmers at the sea off Senoko, Singapore. PCG immediately deployed both land and sea resources to intercept the swimmers. At about 3.55am, PCG craft successfully intercepted the two men, both aged 25, who did not possess any form of identification, including travel documents. They were arrested for the offence of unlawful entry into Singapore under the Immigration Act (Chapter 133).

Commander of the Police Coast Guard, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Hsu Sin Yun said, "This successful arrest is a result of PCG’s resolve and determination in staying ahead of the maritime challenges in keeping Singapore waters safe and secure .”
