The Police are investigating a 21-year-old man for causing public alarm at Bugis MRT station.
On 15 March 2016 at 1.10pm, the Police were informed that an unidentified male subject was allegedly seen carrying an object resembling a rifle at Bugis MRT station. Acting on the information provided, extensive police resources were mobilised to identify the subject and he was subsequently arrested at his home in Toa Payoh on the same day. Preliminary investigations revealed that the object was a toy gun which the subject had bought online.
The Police take a serious view of actions which may cause public alarm and advise members of public against such actions.
