A total of 82 persons were arrested in Geylang for various offences over a four day multi-agency joint operation that ended early morning of 25 March 2016.
The operation was led by Bedok Police Division and involved enforcement officers from the Singapore Customs (SC), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), and Health Sciences Authority (HSA).
63 males aged between 15 and 66 were arrested for various offences such as public gaming, peddling of contraband cigarettes, and sale of illegal sexual enhancement products. 19 females aged between 22 and 39 were also arrested for vice-related offences.
Investigations against all the suspects are ongoing.
Commander of Bedok Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Alvin Moh expressed his appreciation to the agencies involved for their strong support and commended the officers for their professionalism and excellent teamwork during the successful operation.
