On 13 August 2016 at about 9.00pm, Police received a call requesting for assistance from a unit at Blk 342B Yishun Ring Road. Upon arrival, Police found a 29 year-old woman with injuries in the unit. She was conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital where she was subsequently pronounced dead on 14 August 2016 at about 4.26am.
A 37 year-old man had been arrested in connection to the case and will be charged in Court on 15 August 2016 for the offence of Murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries the death penalty.
