The Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Voluntarily Causing Hurt by Dangerous Means
On 23 August 2016 at about 9.02 pm, Police received a call informing that a 31-year-old man had been assaulted at Blk 240 Compassvale Walk. Officers from Ang Mo Kio Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and the identity of the suspect was established.
On the same day at around 11.50pm, the suspect was detained by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers and placed under arrest at Woodlands Checkpoint.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 25 August 2016 with the offence of Voluntarily Causing Hurt by Dangerous Means under Section 324 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of not more than 7 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
