The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty along Bukit Merah View.
On 27 October 2016 at about 6.50 pm, a 33-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by a man while she was inside the lift.
Through extensive enquiries and investigations, officers from Clementi Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Woodlands Sector 1 within five hours from the time the report was lodged.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 28 October 2016 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
