The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty in the vicinity of Pandan Gardens.
On 8 March 2017 at about 2.43 pm, a 23-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by an unknown man while she was inside the lift with her employer’s child.
Through extensive enquiries and with the aid of images from Police Cameras (POLCAM), officers from Clementi Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him in the vicinity of Pandan Gardens within six hours from the time of the report.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 10th March 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
