The Police have arrested two youths aged 14 and 16 who are believed to be involved in a case of theft of motorcycle.

 

On 12 May 2017 at about 10.46am, a 29-year-old man reported that his motorcycle had been stolen from the car park of Blk 431 Yishun Avenue 1.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV images, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the suspects’ identities and arrested them at Blk 22 Teban Gardens on 16 May 2017 at about 4.30pm. The stolen motorcycle was also recovered on the same day along Jurong Town Hall Road.  

 

The two suspects will be charged in Court on 18 May 2017 with an offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle with common intention under Section 379A read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, each faces a maximum jail term of 7 years and shall also be liable to a fine.
