The Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty in the vicinity of Toh Guan Road.

 

On 12 May 2017 at about 10.51 pm, a 27-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by an unknown male person.

 

Through extensive ground enquiries and viewing of CCTV footages in the vicinity of crime, officers from Clementi Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him in the vicinity of Toh Guan Road East on 18 May 2017.

 

The suspect will be charged in State Court on 20 May 2017 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
