The Police have arrested 62-year-old man for negligent act in relation to a case of fight reported on 18 May 2017.
On 18 May 2017 at about 9:26pm, the Police received a report on a case of a fight along Hougang Avenue 7. A 69-year-old man was found injured and was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The victim later reported that he was assaulted by an unknown man who was riding a power assisted bicycle.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and arrested the suspect on 27 May 2017.
The suspect will be charged in the Court on 29 May 2017 with the offence of negligent act which endangers life or the personal safety of others, under Section 336(b) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspect shall be punished with imprisonment for up to 3 months, or with a fine up to $1,500, or with both.
