The Police have arrested two men and a woman aged between 40 to 53 years old for their suspected involvement in a case of Rash Act and Mischief.

 

On 27 May 2017, the Police received a report regarding a group of people throwing and damaging items at 1012 Upper Serangoon Road. Through extensive follow-up investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 29 and 30 May 2017.       

 

Two of the suspects will be charged in Court on 31 May 2017 with the offence of Rash Act with Common Intention, under Section 336(a) read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 and Mischief causing damages of $500 or more with Common Intention under Section 427 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

 

If convicted for Rash Act, the suspects shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months, or with fine which may extend to $2,500, or with both. If convicted for the offence of Mischief causing damages of $500 or more, the suspects shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with both.
