Last Suspect Arrested For Rash Act At Upper Serangoon Road Coffeeshop

On 1 June 2017, the Police arrested a 48-year-old man who is the last suspect involved in throwing and damaging items at 1012 Upper Serangoon Road on 27 May 2017. His three accomplices were arrested on 29 and 30 May 2017. Two of them have already been charged in Court.

 

He will be charged in Court on 2 June 2017 with the offence of Rash Act with Common Intention, under Section 336(a) read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he will be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months, or with fine which may extend to $2,500, or with both.

 

The Police are also investigating him for an offence of Mischief causing damages of $500 or more with Common Intention, under Section 427 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted for the offence, he will be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with both.
