The Police have arrested a 59-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of House Trespass to commit Theft at a food stall located at Jurong East.
On 27 May 2017 at about 11.40 am, the owner of the food stall reported to the police that his shop was broken into and about $2000 cash was found stolen.
Through extensive investigative follow-ups and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Clementi Police Division identified the suspect who was arrested at Woodlands Checkpoint on 1 June 2017 at about 5.50am.
The man will be charged in Court on 2 June 2017 with the offence of House Trespass in order to commit Theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a jail term which may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to fine.
