The Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty along Bukit Batok West Avenue 6.
On 24 May 2017 at about 10.38 am, a 24-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by an unknown male person earlier that morning while she was walking along the common footpath of Bukit Batok West Ave 6. Upon receipt of the report, officers from Clementi Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of footages from Police Cameras (POLCAMs), the identity of the suspect was established and he was arrested along Bukit Batok West Avenue 3 on 1 June 2017.
The suspect will be charged in State Court on 3 June 2017 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
