The Police have arrested a 37-year-old man for his suspected involvement in an armed robbery along Kang Ching Road.
On 4 June 2017 at about 6.35pm, a 46-year-old woman reported that a man had stolen her bag at knife-point, before fleeing from the scene.
Upon receipt of the report, Jurong Police Division officers conducted extensive investigations. With the aid of images from Police cameras (POLCAM), the identity of the suspect was established and he was subsequently arrested on 6 June 2017 at York Hill.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 7 June 2017 with an offence of Armed Robbery under Section 392 read with 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 14 years and up to 12 strokes of cane.
