The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of Snatch Theft.

 

On 21 June 2017 at about 1.51 pm, the victim, a 19-year-old woman reported that an unknown man had snatched her handphone along Anchorvale Drive.

 

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and with the aid of CCTV images, the suspect was established and subsequently arrested on the same day along Hougang Avenue 7.

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 23 June 2017 with an offence of Snatch Theft under Section 356 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspect is liable to an imprisonment term of not less than one year and not more than 7 years, and shall also be liable to caning.
