The Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty at Blk 724 Pasir Ris Street 72 on 30 June 2017.
On 30 June 2017 at about 6.45 am, the 26-year-old female victim reported to the Police that a man had molested her. Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive investigations and reviewed Police Camera (POLCAM) footages to establish the identity of the suspect. He was arrested along Yishun Industrial Avenue 1 on 30 June 2017 at 2.30 pm within 8 hours of the report.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
