The Police have arrested a 51-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of theft of motorcycle.
On 3 August 2017 at about 10.52am, Police received a report that a motorcycle was stolen along Bendemeer Road.
Through extensive ground enquiries and the aid of CCTV cameras, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Desker Road on the same day at 7 pm. The motorcycle was recovered along Lorong 6 Geylang.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 5 August 2017 with the offence of Theft of motor vehicle punishable under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he may face a jail term which may extend to 7 years.
