Three Male Suspects Arrested for Theft of Personal Mobility Devices

The Police have arrested three male suspects, aged between 14 to 21, for their suspected involvement in a series of theft of personal mobility devices.

 

In the month of August 2017, the Police received several reports of theft of personal mobility devices at the vicinity of Sims Drive, Aljunied Crescent and Haig Road. Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras (POLCAMs), the identities of the three suspects were established. They were subsequently arrested on 6 August 2017 at Blk 9 Eunos Crescent. 

 

Two suspects, aged 17 and 21, will be charged in Court on 8 August 2017 for the offence of Theft with Common Intention under Section 379 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 3 years, or with fine, or with both. Investigations against the 14-year-old suspect are still on-going.
