The Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of house-breaking and theft by night at a restaurant along Desker Road on 29 August 2017.
The suspect is believed to have stolen cash amounting to $400/- from the cash register.
Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of Police cameras, officers from Central Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Sing Joo Walk on 12 September 2017 at about 10.30am.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 13 September 2017 with the offence of House-breaking and theft by night under Section 457 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than 2 years and not more than 14 years.
