The Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of bicycles. 

 

In August 2017, the Police received several reports from victims informing that their bicycles were stolen from the bicycle bays at private condominiums along Bukit Timah.

 

Officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and arrested the man at Woodlands Rise on 3 October 2017. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved other cases of theft of bicycles from condominiums reported islandwide.

 

The man will be charged in court on 5 October 2017 with the offence of Theft under section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 and remanded for further investigations. If convicted, he shall be liable for imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, and shall also be liable to a fine.
