The Police have arrested a 26-year-old man, who is believed to be involved in a series of Theft of undergarment at Bedok Reservoir estate.
On 9 October 2017, the Police were alerted to a case of Theft of undergarment at Block 135 Bedok Reservoir Road. Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of footages from Police cameras (POLCAM), officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 12 October 2017 along Bedok Reservoir road. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases in Bedok Reservoir estate.
Investigations against the man are ongoing. Anyone convicted for the offence of Theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
