The Police have arrested three men, aged between 30 and 32 for their suspected involvement in a case of discharge of dangerous fireworks.

 

On 18 October 2017 at about 12.07am, the Police were alerted to loud sounds believed to have originated from the discharge of fireworks at the top deck of the multi-storey carpark at Block 419A Yishun Avenue 11. Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and established the identities of the three men involved in the incident.  Two of them were arrested on 23 October 2017 while one was arrested on 24 October 2017.

 

Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted with the offence of Discharge of Dangerous Fireworks under Section 3(1)(b), Chapter 72, will be liable to a fine of not less than $2000 and not more than $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.
