The Police have arrested a 38-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty. 

 

On 6 October 2017 at about 7.26 pm, a victim reported to the Police that she had been molested by a man on board a MRT train along Commonwealth Avenue West. Through follow up investigations, officers from Clementi Police Division and Public Transport Security Command established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 25 October 2017. 

 

The suspect will be charged in Court on 26 Oct 2017 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, the suspect will face a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
