The Police have arrested a 24-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of milk powder from supermarkets.
Since 30 October 2017, the Police received several reports of theft of milk powder from various supermarkets. Upon receipt of the reports, officers from Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and arrested the suspect on 1 November 2017.
The suspect will be charged in court with the offence of Theft in Dwelling on 3 November 2017. Any person found guilty of Theft in Dwelling under section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, and shall also be liable to a fine.
