The Police have arrested 22 people for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
In an operation mounted on 8 December 2017, officers from Criminal Investigation Department and Central Police Division conducted simultaneous raids at brothels in the vicinity of Rowell Road, resulting in the arrests. During the raids, officers had to use necessary force to gain access into units that were locked. The suspects, who are work pass holders, have allegedly made use of their stay in Singapore to commit vice-related offences.
Investigations are still ongoing.
The Police will continue to take tough enforcement action and clamp down on such illicit activities. Anyone found assisting in vice activities in any way will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
