The Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for his suspected involvement in loansharking activities.

In December 2017, the Police received several reports on loanshark harassment where residential units at Bukit Batok, Jurong West, Marsiling Rise, Dawson Road, Choa Chu Kang, Boon Lay and Clementi housing estates were splashed with pink-coloured paint and loanshark-related graffiti were also written on walls. Through extensive ground enquiries and viewing of the Police Cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division arrested the suspect along Thomson Road on 19 December 2017.

The suspect is believed to have carried out similar acts of harassment islandwide. The Police have seized one mobile phone, one marker pen, one bottle of paint and one cap in connection to the case.
