The Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
On 21 December 2017, a 34-year-old woman reported that she was molested on board a MRT train. A member of public assisted to detain the suspect and brought him to the control room before Police arrived.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 23 December 2017. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
