The Police have arrested two men, aged 24 and 30 for two separate cases of Outraging of Modesty reported on 25 December 2017.
For the first case, at about 9pm, two women, age 33 and 38, reported that they had been molested at Palawan Beach, Sentosa. Following investigations, the 24-year-old suspect was arrested on the same day.
For the second case, at about 9pm, a 31-year-old woman, reported that she had been molested at the walkway at Chinese Garden MRT Station. Following investigations, the 30- year-old suspect was arrested on the same day.
Both suspects will be charged in Court on 27 December 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty. Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
