The Police have arrested three Filipino men, aged between 32 and 54, on 17 January 2018 for their suspected involvement in theft of casino chips from casino patrons at the Marina Bay Sands Casino.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the trio had colluded to steal casino chips from unsuspecting casino patrons at the casino’s gaming tables since 13 January 2018. Cash worth more than SGD$23,000 and casino chips were seized.
The three suspects will be charged in Court on 19 January 2018 for the offence of Abetment by Conspiracy to Commit Theft, under Section 379 read with Section 109 of the Penal Code. If convicted, they will be liable to imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years, or with fine, or with both.
