The Police have conducted islandwide enforcement operations targeting unlicensed and errant massage establishments suspected of operating vice activities between 22 and 25 January 2018.
More than 70 officers from the six Police Land Division were involved in the operations. Enforcement checks were conducted at 27 massage establishments located at Ang Mo Kio, Jurong West, Paya Lebar, Serangoon, Tanjong Katong, Tanjong Pagar, Upper Bukit Timah, Upper Thomson and Woodlands. A total of 24 women were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter and Employment of Foreign Manpower Act. Actions would also be taken against 23 massage establishments for offences under the Massage Establishments Act. Police investigations against the women are ongoing.
