Six Neighbourhood Police Posts (NPPs) will be closed temporarily to undergo renovation to be transformed to fully automated redesigned NPPs. These redesigned NPPs will provide residents round-the-clock access to automatic police services such as an e-kiosk to report crime, and a self-service dropbox for lost-and-found property. The redesigned NPPs will allow police officers to be re-deployed to the ground, to better serve the community. Currently, there are already 9 redesigned NPPs, and more NPPs will be progressively redesigned.
The six affected NPPs which will be closed temporarily from 2 April 2018 to mid-April 2019 are:
- Kallang NPP
- Geylang Serai NPP
- Kim Seng NPP
- Buona Vista NPP
- Bukit Batok NPP
- Bukit Panjang South NPP
Residents who require police services during the renovation period may proceed to the nearest NPPs or Neighbourhood Police Centres (NPCs) (see table below for nearest NPPs/NPCs). For reporting of non-emergency cases, residents can also utilise the electronic Police Centre (ePC) at https://www.police.gov.sg/e-services. Residents who require urgent police assistance should call ‘999’ immediately.
