A multi-agency joint enforcement operation was conducted in the vicinity of ZhengHua Flyover on 20 March 2018.
The operation which involved officers from Jurong Police Division, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and Singapore Customs targeted immigration offenders, who were also suspected of peddling duty-unpaid cigarettes.
During the operation, seven men were arrested for various immigration offences. A total of 81 packets of assorted duty-unpaid cigarettes were also seized.
Investigations against the seven men are ongoing.
Commander of Jurong Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Koh Wei Keong, expressed his appreciation to all the agencies involved for their strong support which led to a successful operation.
