The Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for his suspected involvement in an outrage of modesty case.
On 10 April 2018, a 24-year-old victim reported that she was molested on board a public bus along Punggol Road. Investigations revealed that an unknown man had allegedly molested the victim when she was standing along the aisle. The victim immediately alerted the bus driver who informed the Police and the man was arrested after officers arrived.
The suspect will be charged in court on 12 April 2018. Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to 2 years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
