The Police have arrested three men aged between 24 and 33 for their suspected involvement in a series of cheating cases.

Between 2 and 7 April 2018, the Police received several reports from owners of second-hand mobile shops who were cheated into purchasing counterfeit mobile phones. The suspects had presented forged receipts and invoices to convince the victims that the mobile phones were brand new and authentic.

Officers from Bedok Police Division conducted extensive investigations to establish the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 23 April 2018.

All three suspects will be charged in court on 25 April 2018 with cheating, which is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine.
