The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 17 May 2018, the Police have received a report from a female victim that she was molested inside a lift of a HDB block located along Boon Lay Drive. Through extensive ground enquiries and the aid of POLCAMs, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 21 May 2018.
The suspect will be charged in court on 23 May 2018 with outrage of modesty under certain circumstances under Section 354A(2)(a) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he shall be punished with imprisonment term of not less than 3 years and not more than 10 years and with caning.
